H.J. (Jurgen) Hagemans read law (tax law and tax legal practice) at Leiden University and was called to the Bar in 2000.
Jurgen is specialised in property law, the general law of obligations and procedural law. He also has a special interest in insolvency law. His activities consist of assistance in property transactions (purchase) and advice in the field of tenancy law in addition to procedural law and attachment law, execution law and general contract law. The emphasis of his practice is on advising and conducting legal proceedings on behalf of (institutional) investors, property developers, constructors and estate agents.
Jurgen’s recent activities include legal proceedings concerning the compliance with (purchase) agreements, the recovery of guarantees, enforcement disputes and lifting attachments. In addition, Jurgen is currently assisting in the reorganisation of an extensive property portfolio, he is mediating in the solution of a shareholders’ dispute and he is addressing the (prevention of the) liability of banks.
In 2008, Jurgen successfully completed the postgraduate Property Law course at Grotius Academie. He is a member of the Property Lawyers Association.
